Barbados golf is becoming more popular, especially since the island hosted the World Golf Championships Barbados World Cup in December 2006. Hosted at the Sandy Lane Country Club, the venue for the Tiger Woods wedding in 2004, this event attracted the world's most top players from 24 countries. The German team of Bernhard Langer and Marcel Siem were the eventual winners after beating Scotland, led by Colin Montgomerie, on the first play-off hole.

Endorsed by this successful staging of a world-class golf tournament, and offering four PGA standard courses, Barbados Golf can now be considered one of the best destinations on offer. On the west coast, Sandy Lane is home to two Tom Fazio designed courses, the Country Club and the Green Monkey; while Royal Westmoreland is a very impressive Robert Trent-Jones Jr., creation. On the south coast can be found the Rockley Golf Club, a well-maintained 9-hole resort course that is open to the public.

Golf in Barbados is visited by golfers from all over the world who can enjoy several beautiful courses and all within easy driving distance of Crossbow Villa.
